Founder, CEO
Tom is a proven innovator, bringing impactful technologies to life over a 25+ year career. He led the development of complex, multi-domain systems that push the limits of what is possible. He has designed mobile latrine-processors to improve global sanitation, e-mobility systems, medical devices, and alternative energy systems. In leadership positions, Tom is a proven technology integrator, team organizer, and people manager, and thrives when connecting market need to technology innovation to development execution. He founded Carbyne Enterprises, a technology development consultancy serving startups to fortune 150 companies. Tom holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, and is a board member and EV group lead for MIT Alumni for Climate Action.
Adele Noon
Legal and IP
Adele Noon is an intellectual property and technology transactions attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising companies across advanced engineering and emerging technology sectors, including semiconductor fabrication, artificial intelligence, wireless systems, renewable energy, and medical devices. She has counseled startups and growth-stage companies from formation through funding, commercialization, and strategic partnerships, aligning intellectual property strategy with business objectives. She holds a J.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a B.S. in Materials Science from MIT.
Redwood Stephens

Redwood Stephens is a seasoned product leader with a proven track record of advancing breakthrough concepts from prototype to high-volume production. With extensive expertise in product-market fit, he has led cross-functional teams to deliver complex hardware systems in sustainability-focused markets. As the Chief Product Officer at Rad Power Bikes, he tripled new product launches and expanded the IP portfolio from one to 35 patent applications. At Synapse, he transformed the engineering consultancy into a profitable global player, serving as VP of Engineering and President. Redwood now applies his entrepreneurial, execution-focused mindset at Blue Dot Motorworks to help pioneer the next generation of hybrid electric propulsion systems.

David Byng
David enjoyed a 37-year career with the Province of British Columbia, including as Associate Deputy Minister and Chief Operating Officer for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. He is currently the Honorary Consul General for the Government of Japan, sits on the Royal Roads University’s Board of Governors, and operated a strategic consultancy.
Isabella Taba
Isabella has driven success in the startup and high-tech world, first as an engineer and then in several senior management and executive roles, in a career spanning over 15 years. Isabella holds an MBA from Cornell University and an MS in aerospace engineering from University of Michigan.
